"We'll Undo All Our Good Work !"

After Carol had finished her speech thanking Debbi and the other managers for the Christmas meal, Debbi rushed back to her office as quickly as was decently possible. 'Decently' she thought, that was a joke considering what she was wearing ! Anyway, she decided there was no point in struggling to take off the body stocking, she could just put her office clothes on over the top of it to go home in. She had just pulled on her knickers, as she had originally wanted to do for her waitress gig, when Jeff burst in on her. "Oh, er, sorry Deb" he excused himself. "But something's come up." Debbi gave a cynical laugh. "Don't worry, I'm not suddenly going to get all coy over you watching me get dressed after what you've been looking at all afternoon. What's this 'thing' that's come up ?"

Jeff explained that an important retail customer had put a last minute clause into a contract, which meant it had to be completed in time for the sales on January 1st. The team would have to be called in for some of the time over the Christmas and New Year period, instead of enjoying the extended break they were expecting. Carol came into the office and caught the tail end of this conversation. "Come in, come in, don't mind me" said Debbi sarcastically as she resumed getting dressed. "How do you think the team will take it ?" Jeff asked. "Not very well" Carol answered. "I'm not best pleased myself" Jeff admitted. "They'll be paid overtime" Debbi pointed out while zipping up her skirt. "That's not the point at this time of the year" Carol argued. "We'll undo all the good work that we've put into team building this year" she lamented.

"Is there anything we can do to salvage that ?" Jeff wondered. Carol's devious mind began to get busy. "There may be a way" she pondered. "We have to make the time they spend here as much fun and as little like routine work as possible." Debbi was sceptical. "How do we do that ?" she asked. "I've got an idea. It's new year right ? We can put on a kind of 'ring out the old, ring in the new' type pageant with lots of fun and games. But you two are going to have to enter into the spirit of the thing" Carol asserted. "Of course. Anything to keep up morale, eh Deb ?" Jeff agreed on Debbi's behalf !
