"Wait, are you not going to say anything?" (Waving at your outfit)

"Wait, are you not going to say anything?" You say while waving at your outfit.

"Huh." He says, catching you by surprise.

"What do you mean by huh?!?!" You say in disbelief.

He then pinches his nose and squints at you. "You look cute, I guess? I don't know what you want me to say to you?" He says, confused. His response was making you confused too.

Chris was always the type to like girls, no matter the type. He likes them chubby, skinny, and ripped or petite, tall if not anything in between. White, black, Asian, you name it he will just say yes. He likes to gush over girls like a hound that hasn’t been fed for days.

Rebounding quickly, you then responded. "Wait, you got nothing to say?"

"Yeah. To me, you’ll always be Ash, you know. You are still the same person I have known throughout the years. So why treat you like I don't know you?"

He says, simply shrugging.

Hearing Chris say that causes some whiplash through your mind. Jeff was acting nervous around you. Donna was putting you on the spot. Valerie was showing a side of her you never saw before.

On the other hand, Chris treated you like he always did. A relaxed goofball who cares about their friends.

You don't know how to feel. You wanted to thank him, but you feel like it would be outplace. At the same time you still surprise that he didn't hit on you.
