Clark walked into the room off the main newsroom, which Lois had turned into a secondary office. An office which she had been using for her Intergang cork and string board. He looked at she had pinned notes and coloured strings all over the board. He sipped from his coffee cup as he asked, "What have you got?"

Lois stepped back to look at the board before she answered, "I don't know. Honestly. It's just not making sense in my mind. Like look..."

The brunette pointed at the various sections of the board as she spoke.

"Like Intergang has gone silent... at least in the city. All organized crime in the city has stopped, even if we have evidence of their crimes outside it. That could be them smartening up about trying to do their business under Superman's nose, but I don't buy it. As long as there's money, there's crime.

Cost Mart has been making unusual moves. Like buying up and building a Media Empire. Galaxy Broadcasting and Publishing. Why does a line of department stores have to do with a tv station?"

Clark joked, "Saving money on advertising."

She turned to him with an upturned eyebrow before nodding, "Okay, that might make sense. The fact that the blonde bimbo has been meeting with and donating money to the emergency workers as well as the city and state government. My guess is she trying to hide the fact she's a huge criminal with a PR blitz. I just don't get it. I know there's more here."

"You sound like this is deeper then Intergang. What's the real issue?"

"While the fact Church has evade justice at every move... With her building up Media holdings, I'm worried she'll head for the Planet. I've invested so much of my life to this paper and building to have her take it and corrupt it. I just need to figure this out."

"Maybe you need to step back for a moment and rest before looking at it with new eyes."
