Chapter 27 by Westwall Westwall

Violet City!

"The City of Nostalgic Scents"

Stepping into Violet City was absolutely amazing, and for the first time, I finally felt like I was getting somewhere. Unlike both Cherrygrove and New Bark Town, Violet City was a far different animal when it came to its local culture. The Trainer School was a total economic cash cow for the city itself, and drew in large sums of money from across the region. Families that could afford it and wanted their kids to grow up to be masters of the Pokémon world would send them here to learn, battle, and hopefully graduate.

I had been jealous of those students long ago, but not anymore. Right now, I felt like I was doing my very best. With three Pokémon under my belt and having learned quite a bit from the last day or so, I was confident in my ability as a trainer. I was going to be the very best, and no one was going to stop me.

"Hold up there girl." called out a gruff voice from a nearby station near the entrance to the city itself. The guard, dressed in the national uniform for the police ****, held out his hand as he approached me. "Come on over here."

I dutifully stepped over to him, making sure to keep out of the traffic. Violet City was quite big in its size and populace, and I wanted to make sure I didn't get in the way of anybody important. Once I had stepped off to the side, I looked at the officer with a slight smile.

"Is something wrong officer?" I asked, not understanding why he had pulled me out of the crowd.

"You don't look like you are from around here. Are you a student?" he asked, his eyebrow raised.

What does Lyra say?
