You eventually run out of things to say. You don't feel confident enough to dance... There is a long silence, as she waits for you to say something. Then she picks up her phone and pretends to read a text. You can tell she's faking it.
"I'm sorry," she says, "but I have to go find my friends now. It was great meeting you!"
Before you have the chance to ask for her number, she's disappeared in the crowd.
