"Please give me a yoga lesson."

"Yeah, okay," said Vicky. "You'll need a mat and some better clothes, you can't do yoga in jeans."

"Do you have some stuff I can borrow? Please?"

"Um, I guess David left some stuff you can use." Vicky got up and went to her bedroom. "I'll be right back."

I turned to Alyssa. "Who's David?"

"David is her ex-boyfriend."

"Oh, okay. Is she dating anyone now?"

My gorgeous blonde date looked at me suspiciously. "No, they just broke up last week. Why? You can't possibly be dumping me ten minutes after-"

"No, no no!" I waved my hands a little desperately. "I definitely want to be with you. But... wouldn't a threeway be great?"

Her face started to contort in disgust, but before she could say anything, I added, "Please?"

"Yeah, that could be fun," she said. "But you're going to have to be a lot more suave. You're not doing well with her so far."

Vicky came back in with a yoga mat and some sweatpants. She gave them to me, and as I looked down at the clothes I said, "Please fit me and make me look good." Then I went to the bathroom and changed.

"Huh," said Vicky when I came back out, "I thought they'd be too big, but that shirt looks good on you. Okay, first of all, do I have permission to touch you to make minor adjustments to your yoga poses?"

"Yes! Please do not hesitate to touch me as much as you want, anywhere you want!"

Vicky put her hands on her hips and moaned. "God, you're such a child. Okay, stand here on the mat."

She stood on her mat, and I stood next to her on mine.

"Raise your hands up high to stretch. Alright, the first pose I'm going to show you is called "easy seat". Just sit with your legs crossed like this and sit up straight. No, straight. I said 'straight'. Like this."

She put her hands on the small of my back and my shoulder and gently guided me into place.

"Okay, now we're going to do downward facing dog. Get on your hands and feet with your ass pointing up in the air."

I got in the position, but it was very uncomfortable.

"No, don't arch your back so much. More like this." She again pushed on my back, then she put her hands on my legs to straighten and position them. Her hands lingered on my legs even after I got into the right position.

"You know, it's weird," said Vicky. "I've taught a couple of classes before, and I was always really uncomfortable touching people. It feels a lot more natural to touch you."

I looked over at Alyssa. She gave me a surprised look and a thumbs up.
