"Padme. You are an angel." - Unused Concept art for a ' of the Sith' post credit scene of Vader visiting Padme's grave that was never filmed (12.9.18)

'THAT'S RIGHT! Long before Marvel basically invented it and Rogue One bridged the gap, Lucas had an idea for a post credit scene for **** of the Sith that would've tied it in with the beginning of A New Hope! The scene would've been either a dream or vision that Vader was having while in his meditation chamber of him visiting Padme's grave on Naboo and seeing her in angel form.'

'The line, "Padme. You are an angel." Would be said by Vader first as James Earl Jones, then as Hayden Christensen and then finally as Jake Lloyd whose voice would be repurposed audio from Phantom Menace. He reaches out to her, telling her how sorry he is, begging for forgiveness about what he did to her on Mustafar and he's been wanting to make love to her for so long. But due to his anger and guilt, she rejects him, slowly evaporating into a mist of shimmering light before leaving him to be completely alone and surrounded by darkness.'

'The scene would have ended with a close up of a helmetless Vader in his meditation chamber, trying to hold back tears but failing as one escapes. The chamber rises and we see an Imperial Officer standing there, telling Vader that they've captured Princess Laya's ship. Vader regains control of himself and the helmet descends, with the last line before the scene cuts to black being Vader in his James Earl Jones voice ordering the officer to get the troops ready for boarding.'

'Lucas said that he decided against filming the scene cause it would've made the film too long and some of the crew telling him that audiences would find it slightly ridiculous.'

'But what do you guys think?'
