There was a pause, which Jonathan assumed the three girls were talking among themselves, before Leah replied, "Okay... but you better not look!"

"If he looks I will spank him!" Iris warned, eyeing her son. All of the female crew giggled, knowing full well that she, like a typical Chinese mother, would have no qualms carry out corporal punishment against her adult son in public.

"I swear!" Jonathan promised, turning around to face the front of the boutique.

"That is very cute!" Iris gushed.

"Thank you, auntie," Leah replied.

"Come out, Natalie," Lauren called out.

"Um... okay..." Jonathan barely heard the young electrical engineer's nervous response.

The girls giggled.

Jonathan was tempted to pretend to browse his phone but discreetly use its selfie camera to peek at the girls' skimpy lingerie but he decided against it in case his mother caught him in the act -- even though he was a veteran Navy SEAL he still feared his mother's wrath.

"Okay, now your turn, mèi mei," Hane said in a soft, motherly tone.

"Little sister?" Zoe sputtered.
