"No way, I'm out"

Whether it was the **** or the apprehension of another catch not yet being revealed, John felt uncomfortable with it all. Feeling a bit drunker, he slurred out

"Th-thank you ladies for the offer-r-r, but I can't take it at this t-time."

Madeline looked at John, with a clear disappointment in her eyes.

"Well I do wish you would reconsider, but I guess there isn't much more we can do to convince you at this time. Please take my business card in the meantime and don't hesitate to give me a call if you change your mind."

John took the business card from Madeline and not wanting to impose on the good will of the meal and ****, he quickly got up and took his leave from the restaurant. After stumbling outside he realized he had nowhere to go, and sat on the curb to collect his thoughts and sober up for a moment.
