Chapter 7 by Zingiber Zingiber

What is her answer?

"Let me give Sandra Langfield a call."

When I got home, Lisa was lounging on the sofa, sipping an iced tea.

"Hey honey, I got your ice cream," I said.

"Mmmm gimme!" Lisa said. She took the spoon from her iced tea and dug into the pint of Lemon Drop I'd got at the convenience store. Now who did that store clerk remind me of?

"I met Sal and Sally’s mother while I was out running," I said. "She invited us over for dinner. I told her that I would ask you first and give her a call."

Lisa looked up from her ice cream. "Let me talk to her first. What's her number?"

I fished out Sandra Langfield's number and fetched Lisa's cell phone from the charger. It wasn't a great bargain out here since it was still "roaming" from our old plan, but our regular phone wasn't working right yet, something about activating all of the services.

I started sorting kitchen items. That let me watch Lisa as she talked on the phone. She looked really sexy, half-undressed from Portland's unusual heat wave, staring off into space as she talked on the phone. Half the time the spoon was in her mouth, her tongue working lazily, licking and sucking, and now and then a sweet drop hung from her lip or chin.

"Uh-huh," Lisa said. "Uh-huh? Yeah, me too. No, not so much..."

I could hear almost everything she was saying but after a little introductory chatter about us and where we came from, it was just about impossible to follow her half of the conversation.

"Uh-huh?" Lisa continued. "Oh. Well, that's something, all right."

I took my sorted items in the kitchen and started putting them away as we'd agreed. General Lisa had drawn up the strategic plan, and Captain Steve was arraying the troops. By the time I came out, Lisa had hung up the phone and was sucking on the last few drops of her pint of Lemon Drop.

"What did you think of Sandra?" I asked. "You want to have dinner with them tonight?"

"Oh, yes, I said yes almost at the beginning. I'm hoping to get to know our neighbors and it'll be a relief not to be cooking or having to deal with going out. I'm tired of restaurants and take-out, anyway."

"Great, honey," I said. I was glad she and Sandra had hit it off. I wondered what she'd think of Sal and Sally's brother and sister sex games. My shorts were still feeling a little tight, since I'd never gotten to do anything about that erection they'd given me when I watched them jacking off together and Sandra caught me looking.

"Sandra Langfield told me something very interesting about her family that makes me curious to meet her," Lisa said.

"Really?" I said. I wondered what Sandra would have told Lisa over the phone.

What did Lisa find so interesting?
