How long can they keep this ruse up? Does God already know what they've done?
"Is there anything we can do to stay?"
Eventually, God came up to his favorite creation couple.
"Ye seem stressed," he said in mock sympathy, "how about I get you something to wear?"
"Thanks!" the two sighed in relief.
"Aha!" God pointed his finger at Adam, "I knew it! Ye ate from the tree!"
"Wait," Eve tried to explain herself, "it was the serpent's fault! He tricked me!"
"The serpent hath already been cursed to crawl on his belly," God began, "and now thou, Eve, must leave this garden and for ever have sorrow in thy conception. And as for thee, Adam," he turned, "thou art cursed also to leave the garden, and to for ever till thy food from the ground."
"Wait, no no no!" Eve tried to back God off from his punishment, "please don't kick us out. We really like eating freely from the garden, and all that tilling and conception stuff sounds hard. We'll do anything to stay. Anything!"
"Anything...?" God raised his eyebrow at Eve, who had for the moment forgotten her nudity.
Does Eve have to please God somehow to stay in the garden, or does she just end up making God even angrier?
