"Is it ambition?" [Slytherin Route]

"I may be single-minded, but it is important to go after what you want in life," you say.

"Hmm... Interesting. You've learned that you possess a rare ability. I detect a growing sense of ambition. An eagerness for power," the hat says, "You belong in Slytherin!"

Slytherin house is known for cunning, ambition and a hunger for power.

Slytherins cheer while Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs stare at you with deep hate. One of the Gryffindor students stands up, as though he's going to run up to you and beat you to **** in front of everybody.

Fortunately for you, Longbottom sits him back down.

You sit back down at the table.

Cedric is next to be sorted.

"Slytherin!"

After him, is Jaye. Fortunately for you, she is placed in Gryffindor.

"I knew I would," she says smugly.

At the feast, you are overwhelmed by the variety of luscious food. Marcus Chamber, who was also sorted into Slytherin, tells you that he's "kinda Muggleborn", in that his father was a muggle and his mother was a Squib.

Normally Muggleborns inherit magic from a distant ancestor (a Squib who had married a Muggle and whose families had lost the knowledge of their wizarding legacy, the magic resurfacing unexpectedly many generations later). This is the first time you've ever heard of a Squib having a child who inherited magic. Marcus tells you his mother was more surprised by him being a wizard than his father (an actual Muggle who didn't know those things were real). He's been raised by his grandmother ever since, as his mother married to a Muggle to avoid being remaindered of the magic she's never have.

You glance around the room and notice two women talking with one another. One of them is a young man with dark skin talking with a thin woman with flowing white robes, who begins staring malevolently at you with deep hatred. She has shoulder length wavy blonde hair. She puts gold coins on her eyes and points at you menacingly, before doing a cut-throat gesture. She then takes out a blonde girl doll that looks like you and begins stabbing it, screaming "Die! Die!"

"Who's she?" you ask.

"That is Johanna Crane, she's the Head of Hufflepuff and teaches Transfiguration," Marcus says, "The other is Abidemi Onai."

You are led to your common room inside the Slytherin dungeon by one of the teachers. She is a tall woman in her 30s with black hair. Her name is Harper Clapham.

"This is the entrance to their Slytherin common room. In order to enter, one must simply speak the correct password. 'Aspiration'," she says.

"Very well, aspiration," you say.

"Well done."

You enter the Slytherin common room.
