"Help Yourself"

Cinder was at her wit's end, on top of having to search for the Fall Maiden to acquire the remaining half of the power as well as planning the Fall of Beacon, she also has to put up with her subordinates arguing with one another and Torchwick's half-hearted excuses. Though she possesses magical powers, she's still one person and still requires the help needed to bring her plans to fruition. By themselves, each of her minions had something going for them: Mercury had his training from his father who was a trained assassin, Emerald and Neo had their semblance, hell even Roman proved useful when you'd least expect it. However, Cinder couldn't help but feel that she still needed someone she could depend on though that was practically impossible since she only believed in herself. That's when a question popped into her head; what if she had herself cloned?

Having made up her mind she decides to follow through with this plan and contacts Arthur Watts about the idea. Although Cinder never liked Watts, she couldn't deny that he was incredibly smart. She tells him that it would be extremely convenient if she could be in two places at once while being undercover at Beacon and asks if such a thing was possible. Watts tells Cinder that this was outside his field of expertise, but at the very least the idea alone did pique his curiosity enough to see if such a thing was indeed possible given how much he regards himself as both a genius doctor as well as a genius scientist.

After thinking it over Watts agrees to help Cinder in this endeavor to clone herself and begins researching everything he can on genetics.
