"Go play in the pool"

"Aww, you look so adorable, Princess!" Kevin cooed mockingly, ruffling Ali's hair as the woman in question blushed and backed away.

"Did you really have to get me diapers?" Ali hissed under her breath. "This is mortifying!"

"Aww, I'm sorry, Pumpkin. I know you're a little old from them, but that was all I could find" Kevin lied, keeping the laughter out of his voice as a hot male guest and his wife walked by. Looking up at Sarah, Kevin whispered just loudly enough to be heard by passersby, "She just got out of diapers a week ago."

Ali balked as she turned even redder, the woman noticing the hot guy and his wife chuckling in amusement before walking away. Why had Kevin said that?!

Sarah chuckled, knowing that wasn't true but more than willing to play along until the time was right to tell Kevin the truth.

"Why don't you go ahead and play in the pool, Sweetheart?" Kevin said as he pushed Ali in the direction of the pool. "Just avoid the water slide this time."

Ali wanted to argue, but knew she was trapped. With a pained sigh, she made her way to the shallow end of the pool...

Only for a hand to grab her shoulder, making Ali jump as she saw an eighteen year old woman in a lifeguard uniform smile at her gently.

"Sorry, sweetie." The Attractive Lifeguard said, "You can't go in that pool without your mommy or daddy and a pair of water wings. There's a nice kiddie area you can play in nearby."

Ali wasn't even surprised at this point at being mistaken for a dorky child for the umpteenth time today. However, as she looked over at what looked like an empty playground with small pools of water and hoses, she let out a groan. That looked like it was made for actual toddlers in mind, there was no way her dignity would survive being nuked like that!

And given that she was just standing here in a small t-shirt and a swim diaper, she most likely didn't have much dignity left...
