"Get the guys"

"Alright, let's get to work," Melanie repeated, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "I've been briefed on the current projects, but I'd love to get your take on them." She nodded towards the stack of files on Rachel's desk.

Rachel sat down to her desk, and as the tension boiled over started to challenge Melanie, "Look, this is not helping! I've always been scared my body is too masculine, and it seems like you're just confirming that!"

Melanie's expression changed from amusement to surprise. "I'm not trying to confirm anything, Rachel," she said, her voice laced with a hint of defensiveness. "I'm just stating the obvious. You do have a very athletic build. But that's what I find attractive about you." Melanie's gaze drifted down to Rachel's seated body again, and she seemed to be studying her, as if trying to understand what made her tick.

Rachel felt a surge of frustration mixed with embarrassment. "Damn it, bring the guys in here so they can check me out!"

Melanie looked taken aback for a moment, but then she nodded and stood up. "Alright, I'll go get them."

As she opened it, Rachel could hear the sound of male voices approaching from different parts of the desk. She took a deep breath and braced herself, unsure of what to expect. She had always been uncomfortable with her body, and the thought of being scrutinized by a group of men made her stomach churn. But, she thought, at least they'd finally confirm that her body was indeed feminine and not butch. Wanting to get this over with, Rachel stood up from her desk yet again, holding onto it to steady herself as her legs felt like jelly.

Eventually a group of men, most of whom Rachel recognized from various departments, filed in to the area around her desk, their eyes drawn to her like magnets. As the men assembled around her desk, their eyes scanning her body with a mix of curiosity and awkwardness, Rachel felt her anxiety spike as she awaited their responses.
