What's next?
"George is outside. He's trying to surprise me by taking me out to dinner."
"Damn!" you mutter in frustration. "We can't catch a break."
"I know, dude," she said with a grimace. I really wanted to get this weekend started off right. I can try getting rid of him but George doesn't take 'no' easily. And..." she blushed, looking somewhat embarrassed. "Well, honestly, I seem to have more trouble when I'm with him. I feel all weird and giddy."
"Huh?" you asked in amazement. "Is why I caught you and him, uh..."
"Yes," she said simply. "He brings something out in me. It's almost like I go on autopilot - it just feels good to be with him..." she added almost dreamily.
"Hey!," you said, snapping Randall's attention back. "So what are we going to do?"
She thought for a few moments and said "I'm sorry, Tim. I'll try to beg off tonight - let me go talk to him."
You ducked into the kitchen while she goes to open the door. You heard her and George talking, though you couldn't make out what they said. Randall giggled and things got quiet - you thought you heard the sounds of kissing. Finally Randall ended up giving in to George...

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
