"Don't even bother in reading that, you are not even going to read all of them"

Percy said with an angry tone, clearly knowing the book Alice was going to read was about him, and trying to prevent her from doing so. After opening the book, and seeing that the first page is literally a drawing of Percy, Alice was caught by surprise, and his reaction also made her worry she was doing something wrong, even though she didn't understand why.

"I see why you don't want me to read this... you look ridiculous..." - Alice said disdainfully, trying to mock Percy for his rude reaction. And while he realized he his reaction would only encourage Alice to read the book, Percy tried to say something else to convince her not to, even if it would make her angry.

"Yes, i know... then don't read it, is not worth it..." - Percy replied, with a forced confidence, that showed Alice he was actually nervous, and made her laugh to see him upset. Since she knew this book would probably embarass Percy, Alice was more determined to see what this book told about the demon king, to piss him off, and maybe even give him a lesson for being rude.

"Maybe if you were nice about it i would listen to you... but now let's see why you are so afraid of me reading this book..." - Alice said with a teasing smile, before enthusiastically reading all the events that supposedly took place in Percy's life, just to make fun of him if she had the chance. And even though he mad by this, Percy sat next to Alice, and even though he wanted to steal the book from her, he just stared at her intently, while they both read about his pathetic life.

Since the beginning it was clear the story was all about how Percy became the greatest demon king in history, and it was pretty much idolizing him throughout the entire lenght of the book. It wasn't that long, but it did contain a lot of action, brutal fights, and a lot dialogues, that Alice found quite annoying at first. She pretty much hated Percy's character, almost more than she does in real life, and even though at one point a love interest for him was included in the story. Alice couldn't help but get upset at all of the fights, and specially the romance aspects that disgusted her so much.

Percy just sat in silence next to her, trying not to say anything about the book so Alice could enjoy it on her own. But after seeing how she reacted to the love interest in the story, he got furious as he remembered that character was supposed to be her real first wife, who passed away centuries ago, and Alice was making gross expressions, like she hated the characters in the story.

And since Percy was ashamed of the story, and how it portrayed both him, and his first wife, he kept quiet, and stared at Alice with frustration. Percy hoped that showing this book to Alice would teach her a lot of things about his world, and maybe she could learn more about his life, or him as a character. But instead he was disappointed, and very upset at Alice, after seeing she did not like the book, and was practically laughing at the events described in it, like she took it as a joke. But even though Percy felt like Alice was being very disrespectful to his deceased wife, he tried to remain calm, and let her finish the book, which she didn't because she couldn'ts stand it anymore.

"So, how was it?" - Percy asked with a fake friendly tone, hiding his frustrations to Alice, who was apparently so bored, or annoyed by the story, that she didn't even finish reading it. Percy still had a bit of hope that Alice would like this book, but it was inmediately clear that she hated it, although he wasn't sure if she was acting like that on purpose, or she really found the book the worst thing she has read.

"It was horrible... i hate how everything is about you... it said you saved the world and you are the greatest hero, but i know none of that in true... i can't even imagine you actually had a wife... i mean, who could love you?... and even if you did have a wife and it did die, i'm glad she did because you deserve it..." - Alice replied with such an intense withering tone, that Percy couldn't even react. He was genuinely hurt by Alice's respond, specially because he could tell she wasn't joking, she probably meant every single thing she said, and even though Percy was disappointed to hear Alice didn't like the story, he was more embarassed by the feeling that he probably deserved all that hate.

"Okay, i get the point... you didn't like it, i understand..." - Percy replied with a slightly timid, but mainly shameful expression, after being scorned by Alice, who just started laughing at him. She didn't regret her response, she genuinely hated the story, and how it depicted Percy as a hero when it was clear he wasn't, and it was even fun to see she finally got to humiliate him. But even though Alice felt great for finally being able to treat Percy like he deserved, and not being punished for it, she did feel like it was wrong for her to do that, although she tried to ignore it, and only have pity for the demon king.

But after everything that happened, Percy was left sad from reading with Alice, so he thought they may had enough fun for today. Although it was clear Alice hated the book, and she would probably insult him or his dead wife even further, Percy still had time, so it was it was possible for him to stay for a little longer. He could read something else with Alice, to see if she would react better with a book that he liked, and hope she wouldn't scorn him more, but maybe it was best to end the day, or let her read more of whatever she wanted, something that doesn't involve him so she couldn't make fun of him again.
