"I ain't taking you in this time, but this is your one, only, warning." Tex grunted and put her cuffs away. A risky move, in the event that the lioness took advantage of her. Marian, in turn, smirked, dashed over…

And gave her a nice suffocating bear hug, causing her to wheeze. “Ah, I knew you’d see the humor in it!” She pat the straining sheriff’s back, before letting her go. The winded weasel panted, and quickly steadied herself once she was back on terra firma. The lioness smirked, and added, “Oh, and I didn’t stick anything to your back. The joke isn’t funny the second time you tell it.”

Lightning went down Tex’s spine, and she grabbed along the back of her coat, feeling for any kind of object. Thankfully, true to her word, she’d let her be. Marian put her hands on her hips. “I think…” She pointed at the weasel’s impressive bust, poking it a bit. “...That we’re going to be very good friends.”

Tex, meanwhile, was still catching her breath. “Thanks… but I’ll have to pass. You just ain’t my type…” She didn’t really want a smelly, chubby, mischievous, and overly touchy lioness sticking around her for too long. Not to mention she didn’t trust her for an instant.

“No need to be shy. I’m sure work keeps you from hanging out with pals very often. C’mon. How about we get a drink in…” She pulled out a watch. “Let’s say… four hours? 5 o’clock? I’ll be able to cover you then…” She tucked it back in.

“Might be busy then. We’ll see.” She straightened out her hat. “Well, nice meeting ya. Welcome to Gold Springs... And for Pete's sake, behave yourself!”

“Oh, I will. Now I’ll be on my way. I have some business to attend to.” She gave the sheriff a wink and a finger gun, before walking away. She had not walked into town, conspicuously, but back out into the desert. At least she wouldn’t be tearing up the town. She couldn’t quite shake the feeling of unease, however. Why had she come here? It seemed like she sought out the sheriff directly…
