Chapter 1 by Rasun Rasun

Note - All characters in this story is 18 and above.

Setting: A Reimagined Hogwarts in a Dystopian Magical Society

In this alternate reality, the wizarding world is governed by a strict hierarchy that permeates all aspects of life. The reimagined Hogwarts, known as **Hogwarts Dominionis**, is not just an educational institution but also a microcosm of the broader society's rigid class structure. The school is divided into four houses, each representing a distinct social class, from the ruling elite to the oppressed slaves.

Society and Governance

1. Magical Aristocracy (House of Dominus)

Role: The ruling class, with absolute control over magical and non-magical affairs. They own vast estates, control the Ministry of Magic, and hold influential positions in all major institutions.

Education: Students from the House of Dominus receive education in advanced magical arts, political strategy, and leadership, ensuring they are prepared to maintain their dominance.

Privileges: They have access to the most powerful artifacts, the best magical tutors, and the authority to enforce laws and punishments.

2. Servant Class (House of Servitus)

Role: Personal attendants and aides to the Dominus. They manage households, perform specialized tasks, and ensure the comfort of their masters.

Education: Focused on skills that support their service roles, including domestic charms, healing spells, and etiquette.

_Privileges: _Though subservient, they enjoy more comforts and protections compared to lower classes, including better living conditions and some level of autonomy in their duties.

3. Intermediate Class (House of Mediatus)

Role: Skilled laborers, craftsmen, and traders. They perform essential tasks that keep society functioning, such as potion-making, crafting magical items, and cultivating rare magical herbs.

Education: Practical subjects like herbology, potions, and magical trades, ensuring they can efficiently contribute to the economy.

_Privileges: _They have more freedom than servants and slaves, including the ability to choose their trades and negotiate terms of service.

4. **** Class (House of Subjugatus)

Role: The oppressed labor ****, performing the most grueling and menial tasks. They work in mines, fields, and factories, often under harsh conditions.

Education: Limited to basic spellwork, labor charms, and survival skills necessary for their roles.

Privileges: Virtually none. They live in poor conditions, are subject to strict control, and have little hope of advancing their status.

Daily Life at Hogwarts Dominionis

Architecture and Facilities

_Dominus Wing: _Luxurious and opulent, with grand halls, private quarters, and exclusive access to powerful magical artifacts and libraries.

Servitus Quarters: modest, with shared living spaces and facilities dedicated to training in service roles.

Mediatus Workshop: Functional and practical, with areas dedicated to various trades and crafts, equipped with tools and resources for their work.

Subjugatus Barracks: Spartan and austere, with basic accommodations and strict supervision. Facilities focus on labor-intensive training and basic education.

School Hierarchy and Rules

Headmaster: Always from the House of Dominus, ensuring the maintenance of the hierarchy and the enforcement of laws.

House Heads: Leaders from each house, responsible for their members' training and discipline.

Inter-House Relations: Strictly controlled to prevent rebellion. House of Dominus students have authority over others, and inter-house conflicts are resolved through harsh disciplinary measures.

Social Interactions and Events

Formal Gatherings: Extravagant events where Dominus members showcase their power and servants attend to their needs. Mediatus members might display their crafts, while Subjugatus members are usually relegated to labor roles.

Educational Competitions: Contests designed to reinforce the hierarchy, such as magical duels for Dominus, service challenges for Servitus, trade fairs for Mediatus, and endurance trials for Subjugatus.

Magical Practices and Laws

Magic and Control

Forbidden Spells: Certain spells and magical practices are restricted to ensure Dominus control, including powerful curses and enchantments.

Wand Ownership: Strictly regulated, with Dominus having the most powerful wands, while lower classes have limited or no access to them.

Punishments: Harsh penalties for disobedience or attempts to subvert the hierarchy, including magical binding, memory alteration, and physical punishments.

START OF THE STORY

As the eve of his 18th birthday approached, anticipation hung heavy in the air for the young boy residing in the Kingdom of Dominus. Tomorrow marked the day he would stand before the Mirror of Desire, the mystical artifact that would determine his fate and assign him to one of the kingdom's four houses.

Born into a humble family of Craftsmen, the boy had grown up amidst the clang of hammers and the scent of molten metal. He had watched his parents toil tirelessly, crafting intricate works of art and practical tools to sustain the kingdom's needs. The advantage of being born into the House of Medulus lay in their skills, their ability to create and innovate. Yet, despite their contributions to society, Craftsmen were never afforded the respect or recognition they deserved. Their lives were overshadowed by the looming presence of the Masters, forever relegated to the shadows of opulent palaces.

For the boy, the possibility of being sorted into the House of Servitus hung like a dark cloud over his hopes and dreams. Servants, the backbone of Dominus, lived lives of perpetual servitude and degradation. Though they had the advantage of proximity to the Masters, their existence was marked by relentless toil and humiliation. They were the unseen hands that tended to the needs of the elite, their identities subsumed by the demands of their masters.

Worse still was the prospect of being sorted into the House of Subjugatus, a fate reserved for the lowest of the low. Slaves, stripped of their dignity and autonomy, existed solely to serve the whims of their masters. Their advantage, if one could call it that, lay in their utter lack of agency. They were the ultimate underclass, subjected to the cruelest forms of exploitation and ****, their lives nothing more than commodities to be bought and sold.

As the boy contemplated his future, a sense of trepidation gnawed at his insides. Would he be condemned to a life of servitude and degradation, like so many before him? Or would fate smile upon him, granting him the privilege and power reserved for the elite few? Tomorrow would bring the answers he sought, but until then, he could do nothing but wait, his heart heavy with uncertainty and fear.
