Beginning College

Wow! I can't believe this is finally happening. You think to yourself as you pull out the driveway. You've been ready to move out for years, and the day has finally come. You've never gotten along with your parents, and as the youngest child, and only boy, out of six siblings, you never really bonded with your older sisters. They always ganged up on you, and anytime something bad happened you seemed to be the one that ended up with the blame.

But all of that is behind you now. You spent all day yesterday packing all of your belongings into your beat up VW Beetle and today you are departing on your eight hour drive to Tiresias University, where you'll be starting as a freshman.

As your childhood home disappears in the rear view mirror, you queue up Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd on your phone and crank the volume. You make it onto the highway before the song ends. The next song that comes on is Hey Baby by No Doubt. That's odd, you don't remember adding that to your playlist.
