Die Transplantation
Tim Müller ist ein 16-jähriger Gymnasiast, der zusammen mit seiner und seinen Freunden auf dem Heimweg von einem Fußballspiel in einen Autounfall verwickelt wird. Während einer von ihnen in der Notaufnahme im Sterben liegt, beschließt der Chirurg, dass die einzige Möglichkeit, das Leben seines Patienten zu retten, darin besteht, ein neu entwickeltes, experimentelles medizinisches Verfahren auszuprobieren. Transplantation der höheren Gehirnfunktionen des Opfers in einen anderen Patienten im Krankenhaus. Ein Patient, der aufgrund eines Gehirnaneurysmas für klinisch tot erklärt wurde. Erstaunlicherweise funktioniert das Verfahren und das Opfer wacht auf und findet sich in einem völlig anderen Körper wieder. Vielleicht gehörte es jemandem, den sie kannten ... oder vielleicht auch nicht. Da die Operation jedoch illegal war und im Geheimen durchgeführt wurde, der Chirurg überredet die Familien, Stillschweigen zu bewahren, um rechtliche Konsequenzen und die endlose Medienaufmerksamkeit, die sie zweifellos mit sich bringen würde, zu vermeiden. Das bedeutet, dass der Patient nun öffentlich die Identität des Spenders annehmen
