The hot chick?

As I settle in for the night, my mind runs over the events of the day. It was nice to have the weekend as a respite from the busy-ness of work and life. I had gone down to the flea market in old town and looked at the various wares that were piled there. At one table, there were necklaces, rings, and amulets that looked ancient. One necklace in particular caught my eye, with a turquoise inset and symbols that seemed vaguely Mesopotamian. I looked at it standing back for a while but then felt compelled to pick it up and take a closer look. As I reached down to grab it, another hand reached forward unexpectedly and touched the necklace and pendant at the same time.

As I looked over, surprised, I saw a young lady with flowing blonde hair. Her bright blue eyes were wide was our hands briefly touched.

"Oh sorry," I said. " I just wanted to take a closer look at that piece of jewelry."

"Yea, it looks interesting," she said, laughing it off. "You can take a look at it first."

I inspected the necklaces with its strange symbols and stone. There was something mysterious about it. But it probably better suited someone more feminine than me or with more exotic tastes. Handing it over, I said. "Here it is, it's all yours."

The young woman smiled and said thanks, looking at the necklace before walking over to the stall manager, an ancient old man, and buying it.

I savored the memory as I became more tired, and tried to imagine what the young woman's life was like. She looked like she was in her late teenage years and had a carefree demeanor. It would be sweet to be free of all the responsibilities of adulthood, I thought. But then again, being a teenager wasn't always easy and I wouldn't have the options I had now.

Falling asleep, I feel a pulse of something. In my dream, there is a swirl of light and it feels like electricity.
