I hadn't expected my first day to be so chaotic, I mean I only just arrived here on the S.S.S Joyra on a shuttle, and everything seemed fine we were all new to the crew and light speed travel can be very draining on the body, so once onboard we were shown to our rooms.

As we made our way through the ship we got to see all the different kinds of jobs in board, from security, to engineers. This ships crew was like a well oiled machine, and I would get to be a cog that helped keep that machine moving.

We even got to meet my hero Captain Kenneth the most famous explorer of the outer rim, she is as amazing in person as she looks on video, she stood with a confidence that screamed leader and her entire outfit was both good looking and practically.

Finally I arrived to my quarters I practically collapsed onto my bed, I knew tomorrow I'd be assigned my job based on my CV, for now I needed to take a long nap after space travel.

When I woke up I found myself looking up at the dark silver of my quarters ceiling, as to be expected my quarters was pretty bland with just the single bed, a computer built into the wall and a closet that was also built into the wall.

For a moment I just laid there with a smile on my face, my brown hair messily covering my eyes, it had been a dream of mine to make it onto one of these exploration ships, the idea of exploring the uncharted unknown of space just sounds cool.

What didn't sound cool was that weird humming sound coming from outside my quarters door, at first I thought maybe it was some type of machine malfunctioning outside, but the longer I listened the more I realized it wasn't a hum, it was a long moan?

Slowly I got up from my bed, pins and needles from laying still for so long made moving difficult, but once I got up I made my was towards the door, the closer I got the more clear the sound got.

I could clearly hear the sound of two men moaning while slightly out of breath, was someone having sex outside my room? Or was there a fight? I really was hoping it was a fight.

Right as I was about to open the door I heard a female voice speak over the speaker systems, "This is captain Kenneth speaking, this is a warning to all men on the ship, last week explorer team 1-A returned from the planet C12-82," She began to explain, I could hear the stress in the captains voice yet she still sounded like she was in control, "everyone seems to be fine, but it seemed we were wrong, all the men on the mission had contracted an unusual virus that seems to only affect men, the ship will be going into an emergency quarantine for all men, stay in your quarters" She stated before the speakers went silent.

For a moment my hand stopped just before the button to open the door, my eyes stared at my door unsure on what to believe. I stepped back to think things through as I looked around my room, there was nothing really in here for defense but I did notice a vent I could squeeze into.

I wasn't sure what to do? Do I just wait here in my quarter? Do I check out what's happening outside my door way? Or maybe should I try escaping into the vents? I'm slim enough to fit maybe I can get somewhere safer?
