In the dim underground bunker of District 13, Katniss Everdeen sits, her brow creased with worry as she sharpens the tips of her arrows.
Following the disastrously dangerous end of the 75th Hunger Games, President Snow ordered the bombing of District 12. The bombing has left a district shattered, the weight of loss hanging heavy in the bunker of District 13.
Katniss is the sole hope of the rebellion, the one person who they believe can take down the current regime and bring a new era to Panem. She stares at a map of the districts, her brain reeling.
Footsteps echo from behind her, signalling the arrival of someone in this rebel refuge.
Katniss looks behind her to, “What do you want?" she asks bluntly, weariness tinges her tone, yet there's a flicker of curiosity beneath it all.
