Rapi wars

It is the year 2169, Humanity has become a galactic power and spread far and wide with FTL tech. They have met many other species, but also entered the galactic stage just as a new threat has taken hold of the Galaxy. The Rapi, a virus like hive mind that seeks to breed, spread and evolve. As a virus the main way to identify the Rapi is by key identifies:

• Sickly purple skin
• Dull yellow eyes
• Tentacle holes on the body, where tentacles emerge from the central core of the infected individual.

The Rapi is able to use the hosts body to adapt to their surroundings, mainly by infecting men, but also by breeding using the females of races to birth Rapi spawn with traits of not only the race of the mother but mixtures from other races. The only thing the Rapi seem to have difficulty adapting to is high temperatures, namely fire, likely due to the weakening of the genetic code of their host, scientists are still looking in to this key weakness.

Over the first few years of fighting the Rapi threat, researchers have made note that outside of the base hosts attributes, the Rapi bring three main things to the host:

• A core of tentacles that seem to devour the organs turning the body in to a husk for the tentacles to thrive in, these tentacles can las out to attack from holes in the hosts body.
• Strength, with the hosts body overwritten by the virus the body is able to overwork its muscles, providing a boost of strength at the expense of the hosts stability.
• Their 'cum', a term used loosely due to its look and smell. The liquid seems to carry the virus, along with a microbial organism that loves to devour inorganic material. For men this cum infects them and turns them in to hosts, for women the cum seems to act as a strong aphrodisiac, it is unclear why women are not made in to hosts but scientist suspect it is to retain their reproductive organs for breeding.

While the cum has trouble with eating through metal, it is best not to keep armour on that has been splashed, so many soldiers have been equipped with detachable armour, an expensive but useful set up for fighting the Rapi.

The stories will mainly be following your squad:

Samora: She is a highly trained soldier who was hand picked to lead this specialized squad. Her main weapon is an **** rifle while her secondary weapon is a combat pistol.

Tamara: She is the engineer of the group, taking care of anything mechanical, computers, vehicles or structural. She uses a standard rifle as her weapon of choice and carries around a bag full of tools for her work.

Nerra: She is the sniper of the team, used to being a lone wolf she likes to work alone, but her skills with a sniper rifle are unmatched so she was given to your team. She uses a high caliber rifle able to blow a hole through 20 inches of steel.

Luna: She is the medic of the team, she is a pacifist so carries no weapons, but she wants to help others and her knowledge in medicine and the Rapi, along with her medical training, are invaluable to the team.

Monique: She is the heavy fighter of the team, she doesn't talk about her past, but the dossier on her states she was part of a super soldier program, she is three times as strong as the average man, she often uses this strength to heft around a minigun and a few other weapons on her at all times.
