"Some catch!" Yelled a laboratory assistant, while a green gooey substance moved on it's own. It slid across the floor, and as several people tried to grab onto it, it slipped out of their hands flawlessly. After several more attempts, the slime got cupped into one of the scientists hand's.
"Gotcha! Now all we have to do is return you back into your jar." She held up the jar and forgot she hasn't opened the lid I put the creature back into.
"Shoot." She said and called someone over to help her. The young inexperienced lab assistant took the jar and opened it for her. As she was about to put the slime back into it, the lab assistant dropped the jar, making the scientist drop the slime while subconsciously trying to grab it.
The slime escaped and the jar hit the concrete floor hard, smashing into several shards of glass, letting the slime continue to try to escape the facility.
"Damnit!" She yelled and tried chasing the sentient goo, but it was too late.
The slime had escaped out of a slightly opened window, escaping out the facility to go on its own into the world.
It kept moving until it was in a city, full of people for it to come into contact with. The biggest question of all of this was where to start and with who.
