Dave finds you on the couch, where you clumsily rise to meet him.

Dave: Hey, what's going on? You seemed upset when I called earlier.

You: Oh, it's nothing really important. Just some minor discomfort.

He takes your hand, gently massaging your wrist as he looks into your eyes. His touch feels warm and comforting. Your stomach rumbles, but you try not to let it show. It's been a while since you last ate.

Dave: How about we go get something to eat? Maybe it will help you feel better.

You nod, grateful for his concern. Melody and Carrie wave you goodbye as you step out of the door together. The cool air hits you like a refreshing shower after being stuck inside all day. You breathe deeply, trying to relax.

As you walk down the street, holding hands with Dave, you can't help but notice how much more comfortable you are than before. His warmth and affection make everything seem less daunting. He opens doors for you, makes sure you don't trip over any uneven pavement, and even helps you cross busy roads.

At the restaurant, you both order food and sit at a cozy table by the window. Your heart thumps loudly. You weren't sure if it was because Dave was unaware of the swap, or because Melody was pregnant with twins. It felt strange knowing you were carrying two lives within your womb while sharing this intimate moment with what was basically a stranger.

The ride home is bumpy, but Dave doesn't let go of your hand. His touch sends shivers down your spine. As soon as you step into your apartment, he pulls you close, kisses you passionately, and whispers "I love you" into your ear.
