time for the Chunin Exams

Just like the, the month before the Chunin exam had passed. Team 8 had continued to perform some simple C and D-rank missions, but after each mission, Kurenai had put them through a really strict training. Thanks to this, everyone learned chakra control very quickly. they all felt that Team 8 was ready for the exam. also during the month the Hokage and the Caption of the ANBU asked John to join the ANBU and Secretly watch over Naruto and Sasuke. the Hokage even told him that Naruto had the nine tailed fox in him

while working some missions for the ANBU he worked with two people a lot Fū Yamanaka and Tenzō. John even got training in interrogation by Ibiki Morino.

The day of the of the chunin exam John woke up to the smell of Bacon cooking so he went out see who was cooking. as he stepped into the kitchen he found Sakura at the same time his stomach growled loud enough to wake dead .

"good morning John breakfast will be done heer shortly" she said walking over and giving him a kiss. they talked for awhile about what to expect from the exam while eating breakfast. after eating they left the house to go to the academy. Kurenai had told them yesterday that the first part of the exam would take place there. So, they made their way there.

Sakura had taken to cling onto John arm, blushing while she did so and cooing in happiness at doing so. while walking don the road you heard people talking even Sakura noticed, "I wonder what they're all talking about?

"I don't think that's it, Ino-chan...", Naruto told his girlfriend. Fortunately, only he could hear the mumblings from the onlookers as they passed by. His only solace was that Ino couldn't hear them.

"hey did you hear about the nine tailed fox"

"? yah he going to enter the exam? Don't tell me he wants to become a Chunin!"

"Let's hope he gets killed during the course of the exam. That'd be best for everyone..."

hearing this made John upset. even though he didn't know naruto that much. he knew no one should be treated this way. "what's wrong John you seem like you just got up set" asked sakura

"Eh, nothing really...", he said, nat wanting sakura to find out and get mad as well. as they drew nearer to the academy he noticed Kurenai, who awaited them at the front door of the academy. Next to her was Ino and Hinata,

Kurenai spoke to them, explaining the schedule of the exam. For the first day, there would be a written test. The second day would kick off with a much more physical test, and whatever happens after that is different and unique for each exam. Having concluded her explanation, Kurenai turned to John Kurenai gave him a long stare before speaking. "John, I want you to be in charge during the exam.", she finally decreed.

"ok", he nodded as she said it.

Now, it seemed all said and down, but... "K-Kurenai? Can I ask you one last thing?"

"What is it, Sakura?", Kurenai reacted to the question.

"I heard that some Genin... well, they die during the Chunin exam. Is it that dangerous? Do you really think we're ready for that?", Sakura asked, uncertainty clearly audible in her voice.

Kurenai sighed. It seemed as if she did not like to point out the possibility of dying, but she preferred truth to illusions anyway. "It is true that it is not without risk. And while you may think you're not strong enough, I have confidence in you guys. You know how Gai-sensei held his team back a year to thoroughly train them? I believe you can be just as good if you work together as a team. So, keep that in mind, Team 8."

Receiving three nods in return, Kurenai smiled warmly at her team. It was a smile of both trust and affection. "Good luck, I'll see you later.", Kurenai bid farewell to her team as she stepped aside and out of their way to enter the building.
