in the course of the morning

I had held off for the rest of the morning and then went shopping with Jennifer to replenish our food supplies. I was sure I could use it. It was a huge purchase, it looked like we were going to feed an extended family. But I didn't care about that for now. We also went to a few clothing and shoe stores to reorganize her closet. I left the selection up to her. I wanted to be surprised by her and went in the time again something to eat. Furthermore, I hadn't eaten that much in quite a while. When we then came home fully packed and had unpacked everything, I had told her that she should clean out the old prude things. I had already made myself something to eat again and was just about to eat something when the doorbell rang.

I wasn't expecting any visitors, not even Jennifer after I asked her. Furthermore, I went to the door and wondered who was at the door.
