Chapter 2 by Clientele Clientele

No choices, get your butt to the lab!

geeze, I'm going, I'm going...

you buzz into the lab and greet your old friend. Tom is flushed in the cheeks and says hello as he rushes you in. “Kyle! I’ve done it! I’ve become the master of the human genome. I can use this modified CRISPR machine to modify any human. All it takes is some commands into this computer and a few hour later, BOOM, a new man!” your ears ring at this news. “What sort of things can it change?” you ask suspiciously. Tom whisks around a chair, and in it sits a beautiful, healthy young woman. You smile at her and get a bit flustered. Tom says, “meet my aunt Maeble!” she turned 84 last week!” This woman looked to you maybe 35 at the oldest. “I was able to use the power of gene editing to repair her body and bring her back 50 years in the past!”.Your jaw hits the floor. Maeble gets up and moves like silk toward you. She caresses his face and says “ thanks again, Tommy, someone’s getting a really nice Birthday present this year. Now I gotta skedaddle, the ladies at bridge are NOT going to believe this!”

Tom says, “ look man, the truth is, this thing is probably about a decade from becoming available, if it ever does, the ethics of gene manipulation are in debate right now among the greatest minds of the world.” “The guys out in China are gung ho for this kind of stuff, and here in the USA we consider it too close to ‘playing God’”

You look at the machine, it looks like a plasma extractor with a few extra gadgets attached. It doesn’t look too threatening. “my professor is going to be all over this tomorrow, And so I gave myself these” he flexed his arms and the muscles bulged tautly under his shirt. “And this” he states as he grabs what looks like the outline of a large Johnson in his pants. “oh man!” you exclaim at that. He proceeds to tell you about how his aunt had raised him, and once he knew it worked, he gave her the gift of being able to live to 150+ years old.

You have to admit to yourself that the machine is certainly impressive, and you know that Tom’s genius is unparalleled… however, this is highly experimental, there is no way the side effects are known, it seems that Tom had gotten it to work, maybe a few hours earlier. “Kyle, we’ve only got the machine for a few more hours, before it gets taken out of here for further research. Do you want to tweak your genes?”

Do you really want to tweak your Genes?
