foot massage

Today, she chose to go to Renew Foot Spa. They were always so soothing and comforting, and even though Abbie got nervous having her feet massaged (she was a little ticklish), the employees at Renew were respectful and made her feel welcome.

It was a Thursday, and it was a little chilly that day, so Abbie wore a pair of dark team leather boots that laced up in the front, colorful socks, and black tights with a brown and teal skirt that fell just below her knees. She thought the boots were really cute (and they were), but after a day with a lot of walking (like this one), she was worn out.

When she arrived at Renew, she was surprised that there weren't more customers. They were usually pretty packed on Thursdays. She spoke to the woman at the reception desk -- a woman whose face she knew, but whose name she had forgotten.

"Hi! I'm hoping I can get a walk-in appointment tonight," said Abbie.

"Of course," replied the receptionist. "It's pretty quiet tonight."

"I don't suppose Caroline is here?" Abbie's last visit had been truly magnificent, and she certainly remembered Caroline's name, in the hopes she'd be able to get another massage from her again.

The receptionist frowned. "You just missed her. Because it was so slow tonight, we just let her go about ten minutes ago."

Abbie was disappointed, but knew there'd be another time with Caroline -- and there'd be a good foot rub in store tonight.

The receptionist continued. "All that's left tonight is Vicki, who is with a client right now, and Devon, who is brand new to us. Oh -- I should ask, are you particular about whether you work with a woman or a man?"

Abbie pondered this. She had never seen a man working at a foot massage before. And she'd never worked with Vicki before either, though she'd seen her at the salon. "I guess I'm okay either way."

"In that case, I can get you in with Devon right now. Or you'd have to wait about twenty minutes or so before Vicki is available."
