back to the plot
Taron removed Rosie’s socks as he gulped her feet down. He felt bad for her but as the Toilet role shortage showed, it was survival of the fittest and meanest in lockdown and Taron wanted to survive. As he wiped his mouth with the girl’s cloak he felt a bit bad at what he had done. He could feel the human moving around inside of him and could hear gentle sobbing from inside his gut. Then he spotted the dropped basket of food. He knew the house on the other side of the woods. It stood alone with fields out back. He had seen the old woman tending to her garden on his jogs before the lockdown.
With her granddaughter crying in his stomach Taron picked up the old lady’s food, vegetable, Quorn and one small packet of TP, and headed off toward her house.
When he got there he left the basket on the doorstep, knocked and left before the old lady could see that it was not her granddaughter delivering it. Well, she sort of was but being inside the wolf she was no longer complying with social distancing.
