Zainab's Truthful Tale

"Mr. Horner I just have one question for you. Did you **** your wife?"

"Yes I did." Mr. Horner's face contorted as she struggled to realize what he'd just said, "I mean I did. No I did. I killed her. Oh God."

Zainab struggled to keep the smile off her face. Juries didn't like it when she got smug. Still, it was hard not to be. This was the easiest job in the world with her superpower. That's what she now considered her inability to be lied to. Why do anything else when she could do so much good? She'd taken a while to realize her potential, but eventually she'd done it. She was a prosecutor now, and a damn good one. Of course she had extensive knowledge of the law, but she really just needed to ask people to get to the truth.

At first it had been hard, she'd kept her latex only trait after all. People didn't take her seriously. They all eventually regretted that. Like Mr. Horner. He could have pled the 5th, but he was so confident he'd taken to the stand. She worried that eventually people would stop letting her ask them any questions but for now the world just kept producing stupid criminal after stupid criminal.

After she stepped out of the courtroom she turned her phone on, there was a new voicemail, 'Hi honey. Just wanted to let you know your friend Lara called. She's in town and wants to see you. I invited her and Monique over for dinner. Hope you don't mind.' It was her husband Todd. She smiled, Lara was in for a treat, and so was she. Todd was a chef, but he didn't like to cook at home. The exception was when company came. Zainab silently thanked Lara for dropping in.

After she got home she helped Todd where she could until the doorbell rang. She hurried to answer it, "Lara! So good to see you. Come in. Oh and you must be Monique, you are fucking gorgeous! And way to young for Lara, what are you doing with her?"

Lara laughed, "See I told you Mistress. She's very honest."

Monique smiled, "Yes you did warn me pet. Zainab what a pleasure. And just for your knowledge I am 28, I may be younger than Lara but I am not a child."

Lara looked happy, so Zainab wouldn't push it. After she'd retired from volleyball Lara had been a little lost for a while. Until she'd met Monique. Zainab didn't really get their relationship. Monique was 15 years younger and filthy rich. She loved Lara, but didn't know what made Monique fall for her.

Monique seemed to understand what Zainab was thinking, "You are wondering why we are together, yes? I'm sure you can figure it out." To demonstrate Monique spanked Lara. Right, Zainab thought, she's probably a sadist. That made her a little nervous, but as long as Lara seemed happy.

"Mistress your scaring her. Zainab I'm happy. Remember, I've invincible or whatever. She gives me what I need, and I give her what she needs." Lara said cooly.

"Right, of course. Come in, both of you. Let's eat. Todd has outdone himself tonight." Zainab led them into the dining room.

Of all of them Zainab felt like she was the most put together all these years later. Of course she'd won, so that made sense. A little part of her felt guilty, but it was just a tiny piece of her that felt the way. The rest of her felt relief. All those years ago she'd been so immature. She hadn't deserved to win, but winning had given her the chance to find her path in life. A good path. She didn't know if the others were miserable, but she was happier than she'd ever thought possible.
