Yum coffee

You find the coffee shop quite easily and get a drink. The barista is a really cute brunette with a bunch of tattoos. She seems great, but for the third time today you get mistaken as a girl. She asks your name, and when you say Alex, she scrunches her lips and says, “Short for Alexis, right. Hmm… Nah, for you I think Lexi is a better fit.”

You hear yourself say, “Oh, okay.” And a few minutes later you walk out of there with an iced latte with Lexi written on it, with a heart dotting the I.

On the way back out to your car you get a text from Mark, “Hey Alex. I was talking to some of my friends and we all decided you’d be a perfect contestant for the online game show here in Chicago. It’s called 10 tasks for 10 grand. I know, stupid title, it used to be a radio show, but now it’s online. If you are interested, all you do is text a photo to the number on the website. If they decide you are a good choice, they have the community vote on silly, or risqué tasks to give you. It’s nothing bad, embarrassing, sexy, or silly usually. Then each one you complete gets you $100, or if you do all ten you get $10,000. The last task is usually super gross or scary or whatever, so almost no one wins, but I know some of the guys behind the show, they want you to finish the first 9, it’s great for their ratings, and add revenue. It’s an easy $900 if you are interested.” Plus a link to the website, and the phone number to send the pic.
