Your mom, Jennifer Conners, and she is now you, Tim Conners

"I-I'm my mom...Jennifer?" you whispered quietly, taking a few moments to feel your head and slowly your brain picked up the sensation of hair beneath your fingers. It only took a few swipes to bring the blonde hair down in front of your eyes to tell you that the doctors weren't exactly joking around (you were brown-haired and kept it short). A few more moments of deep breathing and the sensation of nearly passing out caused a nurse to push aside the two doctors and quickly administered the medicine from the IV tube. Moments later, a blissful sleep washed over you.

A few hours later, after waking up and feeling more or less at ease with the situation (there really was nothing you could say that disproved the sensations that were going through your body), you turned and looked at the nurse again. "So...I'm mom?"

The nurse nodded gently and finished writing the numbers down onto your chart before she turned back and looked at you with a soothing look. "It was a success, those two jack-asses didn't seem to really get the need to ease you into the situation as they should've." She sighed and patted your hand gently. "It's going to be a tough situation, I know, but you'll be at least with your mom again."

You looked down slightly at your hands (or what looked like your hands, though your brain, though cloudy, still recalled that they were, in fact, your mom's). "Mom, huh?"

She smiled. "Yes, your mom also had the surgery. She was in just as bad shape as you were and the doctors managed to do the operation quickly with your body, putting her as, well, you..."

You nodded slightly at that. "Yeah..."

The nurse took her time and stood there for a few moments, gently stroking your hand and once you managed to get your bearings, and your mind had enough time to clear up, you looked at her. "Is she awake?"

"Your mom's been up for a few days, almost driving everyone crazy checking up on you. The doctors told her that you were still out of things and that's the only reason she's not here already." She adjusted the IV tube leading to your arm and then looked at the clock. "Needless to say, the doctors will have loads to tell you but I figure you need to have a break from them all the same. There's only 3 people on staff who know your situation so if you need anything, and don't want to talk with the docs, you can ask for me or the other two nurses outside your room. They'll take good care of you."

You smiled as best as you could. "Thanks..."

She smiled again and after adjusting the medicine, helped lay you back down. "I'll let you sleep a bit more, let the shock ease itself before we bring your mom into the room, okay?"

"Thanks..." you whispered before falling asleep.
