Your 1st paycheque

You’re in your office preparing for the final lesson of Thursday when Layla walks in. She doesn’t knock. Just walks straight in. The door was open.

“Layla,” you greet her. She doesn’t say anything. Instead she just holds out an envelope with a look of disgust on her face. When you don’t rise to take it, she chucks it onto your desk.

“Paycheque,” she states, then turns round and strides out of the office. She really does have a very attractive ass, one which her choice of clothing does accentuate.

You shake your rising hormones away and turn to the envelope. See how much you’re really getting paid.

Hmmm….

After tax, more than you thought. A decent salary. Enough to keep Agatha employed? It’ll be close. If it was more, the answer would be easy. If it was less the answer would be obvious. It’s in that cusp position, where keeping her on would be problematic but not disastrous.

It really is up to you.

Can’t think about it for too long, though, as you have a lesson to teach.

NB: I’ve introduced a new variable in this chapter, Income. Income doesn’t track the amount of money you have, just the relative difference between incomings and outgoings. A positive number means you’re earning more than regular spending; thus, you have spare cash to spend on other things. The higher the value the more extravagance you can afford. Zero, means that your incomings and outgoings are roughly equal, you have a little bit of spare cash, but you can’t be extravagant or wasteful. Negative means you’re going to go broke.
