What do you say to Emma?
You want to wear diapers
You say to Emma:
“You're safe with me. You want to feel safe. To feel that you're protected from danger.”
“Safe...”
“You need to feel loved and to feel tenderness at all times.”
“Tender...”
“The world is a dangerous place; you haven’t felt safe since you were a little girl.”
“Little girl?”
“You’d like to be able to go back to a more carefree time, when you could let yourself go without thinking, without having to control everything.”
Emma’s gaze is unfocused. You decide not to push the issue any further for now, so you gently take her in your arms, and you eventually fall asleep entwined.
The next morning, Emma tells you that she had a very restful night, as if she felt completely at peace, free from her work worries.
You keep giving Emma smoothies and talking to her tenderly about a time of tenderness. Then, after seeing a TV commercial for baby diapers, you tell her that they’d fit her so well that she’d feel safe and that she could be your tender lover, the two of you safe together. You tell her she should buy some—they fit so well.
