You tell Katherine

The rest of your work day goes by uneventfully. You rush home to be with Katherine. As you walk in the door, you see her standing at the counter preparing dinner. Walking up behind her, you grab her and pull her close to you, causing her to squeal in surprise.

"I missed you today, Mrs. Shaw."

"I missed you too. Although, I am starting to walk normal again," she jokes.

"Well, we can change that tonight," you laugh. "I need to talk you about something, though. My boss is holding a party tomorrow and I told her we would be there."

"Do we have to go? I hate these boring office events."

"I know you do, but I have to go. Besides, Kayla will be there. You two can talk shit about everyone else there."

"Alright, fine, I'll go."

"Thanks, Katherine. I love you so much."

"You better. Come on, help me set the table."

You sit down and eat dinner with Katherine. You both talk about how your first days back at work went. Several hours later you and Katherine head up to bed.
