What's next?
You go to the wreckage
You decide to go to the vessel, and after a couple of hours you arrive to the place Fiz mentioned.
At first glance, it looks like the ship could fall down at any moment. But your adenian brain is smart enough to know that it is stable enough for you to enter. Here we go! you think to yourself, and you start to climb up the mountain, adamant to enter the wreckage from one of the gaping holes on its hull.
Once onboard, you start to go through the corridors. But even at first glance, you could tell that this is not a pirate ship. The hull is clean. There are no **** cages. There are portable barricades scattered around the place, ready to be used in case of an emergency. Then there are the signs on the walls "ARMORY" "CREW A1" "CREW B2" "MEDBAY" "CREW A3". This is a military vessel. There is no denying of it.
The bodies that you find, all distorted due to the impact, seem to confirm the same thing. All of them wear military clothes. Many with plasma weapons still etched between their fingers. Your first thought is that they might have gotten ambushed by a resourceful pirate gang. But those guys wouldn't leave the weapons. Let alone the sensor nodes. The only thing you can think of is another zetan corporation that wants to get their hands on the prototypes. Technically, they could still land next to the hill, and loot the wreckage. But it would take only one picture and the entire sector would know that it was them. On the other hand... If one of their agents walks into a pub and hires you to get these nodes... Yeah... Looks like you have your bargaining chip!
You go ahead for a couple corridors. Then you can finally find the cargo hold.
You start to look for the parts instantenously, and after a minute you can indeed find a container that has them. But you also find that half of them were already collected by your competition. And that is just a sad fact.
You also find some terma charges. Now these could pack one hell of a punch! In fact, you find several crates filled with them. You suspect that their purpose might be to destroy the entire vessel. Reactors these days have too many safeties to do the job quickly enough.
Now that you have your bargaining chip, you have the idea to leave the sensor nodes to the other party, and take the terma charges instead. This way, even if you can't get rid of the tracker, you could have a fighting chance against the pirates once you captured Fiz.
On the other hand... To leave behind all that money? And also... To let your competition win? Is this truly somehing an adenian could live with?
