What's next?
You go to the city
Judging by the man’s words, the city seems to be the only place where you could at least have a chance to get out of this mess. Gagged and your arms locked behind you, you make for the dunes. And you keep walking.
Losing sight of the town, yet also without sign of your destination.
You keep going for hours. Against the sun. The thirst. The hunger. If you collapse, nobody might find you here. You know that. But your strength is waning, and there is nothing you can do about your body's own limits.
You have to keep going, Adelyn, you think to yourself.
You have to keep going...
You have to keep going...
You have to keep going...
In the end, you collapse in the sand like a log, your mind fading into blackness.
