"You are a brave little thing, aren't you?" You give a tiny chuckle. Who was the last person who had dared to interrupt you?

"Hm... I'm not sure myself." You confess, rubbing the back of your head. "I guess I did it on a whim. You looked so miserable, sulking in that small cage like an abandoned pet... I was looking for a pet, so it felt like an obvious decision."

"..." The cat girl remains silent.

"Not the heroic answer you expected, huh?" You ask, taking a step closer to her. "I'm sorry, but I'm not that kind. Now, what's your name, cutie?"

"Nnh..." The cat girl looked away, clearly embarrassed. It seemed like she wasn't used to have someone so close to her.

"Don't be shy." You say, taking another step closer to her. "Tell me your name."

"Katja." She whispered, flinching as your fingers came in contact with her cat ears.

"Katja?" You chuckle, making her frown. "Katja the Catgirl?"

"Nnngh..." You see her frown deepening, she doesn't seem to find it all that funny.

You don't care though, she's a **** so the least she can do is provide some entertainment. "Well then Katja, how about we start with a few questions?"

"About?"

"Well..." You continue. "Where are you from?"

"I am from a small village near the eastern border, a poor settlement inhabited mostly by demi humans." Katja replied instantly, even if she was frowing, she still remained obedient.

"So what's the story there?" You inquire. "You ran away from home, hoping to make it big in the city?"

"Ngh..." You watch her sulk at the mention of her home. "I was born with no tail on a full moon... Tradition dictates that someone born under such circumstances will bring nothing but bad luck and misfortune."

"Sure enough, unfortunate events began occurring soon after. At some point all of them got tired of me." Katja continues. "... I was kicked out of the village soon after."

"As I had no real life skills, I soon ended up being captured in the deep forests and sold into slavery."
