Chapter 201 by baskill baskill

Do you go straight back to the library or try to find Jane?

You decide to go find Jane at school

You decide to try and find Jane, you know you could just call her, but the detective side of you want’s to see if you can find her before you do that. You remember from the phone call before, that you heard familiar sounds in the background, or rather how the sounds sounded, there is only one place where it sounds like that and that is in the schools basketball, the large room, which before had been just a little practice court, but after Jane did her thing is now a giant world class stadium, with room for massive crowds.

When you think about it, maybe you are wrong, because Jane obvious changes to the school, might have made others rooms like that, but for now it’s your best bet and it’s kinda in the way for you as you go back to the library and just do a tiny little detour.

You head over there and after a short walk (but much longer than you anticipated, because Jane has changed things around) you find the large building.

As you get near it you start to hear muffled sounds from the building, as you get closer you can hear what sounds like rhythmic chanting, you walk towards one of the double fire escape doors and pull it open.

The first thing you feel is the massive humid heat, reminding you almost of a sauna, the hot air feels oppressive, making your legs a little wobbly, but gets followed by what feels like a cool breeze, you realize it’s just normal air as the heavy heated air quickly dissipates, and your legs regain their strength.

You look inside and find…

..

.

Just a normal, albeit large basketball court, with a training game in session.

The first thing you spot is Taylor running with the basketball, but she looks confused and trips over her own feet, landing with a thud on the ground, causing what looks like a basketball practice to stop, as she yells out: “WHAT THE FUCK! OW!”

You quickly scan the room, and notice that beside the team on the court and some trainers, that there is a sizable group of people, both men and women, you quickly realize it’s the cheer squad for the women’s basketball team. The large group contains both men and women, amazon and normal, who are wearing cheer-leading outfits, the women in the typical modest ones and the guys in the male version, and it’s just totally normal. By the look of them it’s like they have finished practicing as most of them are laying on the floor, sweaty and breathing hard, while others are stretching and just chatting among themselves, while others are sitting on chairs near the court watching the practice game.

Some of the group look familiar to you, but one especially, it’s one of the male cheerleaders, lounging on a chair, catching his breath, you think for a second then realize it’s Taylor’s ex-boyfriend and it looks like he’s just chilling and watching the practice.

You then look towards a totally empty audience seats and sitting there in the bleachers is Jane in her normal size wearing her usual school outfit. She spots you and gives you a friendly wave, but before you can start walking towards her an amazon assistant coach stops you and says in a friendly manner: “Sorry this is a closed practice…” she looks you over and says a little amused “… The girls need to concentrate on their training and you would be a distraction.”

She easily shepherds you out of the building and closes the double door behind you, leaving you mildly stunned until you hear your phone ping.

You look at the message and its from Jane and says:

“I will see you after school, xoxoxo”

You stare at the phone, then write out a message to send back: “Alright, xoxoxoxo.”

Before you hit send you think to yourself: “What a dumb message, but I kind of like it, I guess we are one of those couples.”

You can’t help but to smile and add a dumb emoji to it and hit send, put the phone down and go back to the library to study.

What happens next?
