Chapter 16
by CrocodileHAZARD
Question is, which branch do you work at? And what position are you offered? Hell, is the offer even legit to begin with?
You are basically a glorified housekeeper
After waiting a few days, you call Cyborg to ask whether the offer he made before was still on the table. He told you it was, only briefly asking why you were responding now. You informed him that you had a couple of other jobs you'd been waiting to hear back from until just now. The truth, however, was that you had spent the last few days in a training scenario set up by your father. It couldn't quite be called a punishment, but it was clear that Slade felt you needed a "refresher" course shortly following your last conversation with Cyborg. Nothing was broken or significantly damaged, but your aches and bruises will likely haunt you for another day or so.
Regardless, Cyborg is happy to offer you a job at the primary Titans' Tower. The job itself, however, isn't exactly on the same level as fighting villains and the like.
As it turns out, the Titans have rarely ever been completely clean or organized with their living space. Not to say they are complete slobs, but the Tower generally doesn't stay clean for long. You're basically being offered to clean up the Tower and do a number of other tasks. All in all, you're getting paid to be a housekeeper for the Titans.
There are some bits in the fine print that Cyborg brings to your attention immediately, though. First off, this position hasn't exactly been "approved" by Robin. While the Titan's leader still hasn't returned to Jump City (and could do so at any moment), he still sends out messages to the Tower confirming that he is at least alive and not in any danger.
Naturally, the messages are delivered one-way and no one can get a hold of him. So until Robin returns, you're basically working "off the record" until Cyborg can pass the idea off to the normally paranoid boy wonder.
In addition, mainly to stave off the previously mentioned paranoia of their leader, Cyborg says that you'll have to be "monitored" by at least one of the Titans, primary or otherwise. He quickly explains that it's less "watching you because we don't trust you" and more like "we just need to have a good idea where you are at all times and be able to reach you within a minute or two".
That one naturally doesn't do you any favors for any significant acts of sabotage or information gathering. But you've worked under worse circumstances. Besides, you're more interested in seeing what else you can learn about the Titan's through them. Anything else is a secondary objective as far as you are concerned, and should not be considered if there's a significant chance of blowing your cover.
You agree to Cyborgs terms and conditions. And just like that, you are employed as the general caretaker of the Titans' home in Jump City. You are scheduled to begin tomorrow.
So how does your first day in the Tower go?

Welcome to Jump City
Titans, go!
You are a new face to the world of the Teen Titans. Are you a hero? A villain? How will your actions and choices affect Jump City and the world as a whole?
