You are attacked

You decide to pass the time for a couple of days. Rebecca is nice and cozy in your cell. So who cares?

One day you wake up for the emergency alarms going off. Looks like parking your ship in the middle of nothing was a bad idea!

You rush to the cockpit. Only to see an enormous vessel getting to close proximity of yours. Your comm pings INCOMING CALL. You lean to the console and and press ACCEPT.

"This is the captain of the C.S.S. Magellan from the Independent Trade Alliance." you can hear, the voice filling the air around you.

"We have reason the believe that you smuggle spice that was stolen from one of our freighters. Shut down all systems, and prepare to be boarded for inspection."

The words send fear through your spine. All Trade Alliance vessels have police IFF's shared with them. A precaution to avoid conflict. But if they are not the Trade Alliance, then who?

"This is an Earth police vessel. You have no authority here. There is a thing called the IFF that you could check," you tell them.

"Negative. Your IFF doesn't match with anything that was provided for us. Nice try, smuggler," the answer comes. "Shut down all systems, and prepare to be boarded. This is your final warning before we open fire."
