Speaking of asses. As you looked towards the girls, you could swear Dina's was swaying a bit more, as if she was walking proud now. Had she listened to your exchange? To be fair, there wasn't much more to listen, so she probably had.

You continued walking towards the suspected direction of the aliens, only stopping briefly when you heard suspicious sounds. But it generally turned out to be some small animal. And during that time, you couldn't help but admire the views. After months in the antartic base, even the fresh air and the outside world seemed both strange and beautiful. The vibrant colours, the smells, every little sound of grass gently moved by the wind... It was a planet worth protecting.

Dina lifted her arm, her fist closed, and everyone in the group stopped. She stood in silence for a brief moment, staring in front. You held your breath, just like everyone else seemed to.

"Enemy sighted" she informed. "Six kilometers front. Two main armored units. No other enemies."

Six kilometers? That was impressive eyesight.

You grabbed the binoculars from your backpack to scan the enemy group as well. It took you a while to spot them, but you did see it. Two large walkers, crab-like, made of a dark metal of some sort, with six "legs" on either side and a large pincer arm. They did look like Atlas-type enemies, simple equipment carriers.

You had three valkyries at your disposal, they can easily take them out.
