"Yeah, I suppose I could. You bieng an ally of the empire and all..." Cloud had no idea what Figaro, or the Empire was, or where they are. Well, he did know one thing about the empire, thier guards were violent. "Uh, where is Figaro?"

Edgar raised a brow, and Cloud knew he had asked a dumb question. After a few moments of silence edgar answered. "Its to the south west. I'll lead the way..."

Cloud was surprised at this world. Where his had barren spots where Mako had been sucked out, this place seemed completly green. Well, he would have said that if he didn't cross into the desert. It was barren, monster infested, and just all around not a nice place to be. Fortunatly, Figaro wasn't that far, and soon enough they were at Figaro, where Cloud got a surprise. "Your king!?"

"What, is it that much of a surprise?" Edgar led on, Cloud noticed the guards watching him warily, whispering something about the empire. It made no sense, thi kingdom was suppose to be allies with the empire? Finally reaching the throne room, Edgar sat on the ornate throne and scratched underneath his chin. "I was expecting them to already be here..."

As if that were a cue two more people entered the room. One was a handsome thief with a blue vest, pants, bandana, a white shirt, and leather gloves and boots. The most striking feature about him, however, was his silver hair. The woman behind him Cloud recognized. It was the woman he had seen in the Life Stream, the mystical woman. The man, who Cloud noticed had a dagger, and probably a thief, eyed Cloud warily as he approached Edgar. "Whose he? Doesn't exactly look like a guard..."

"He's Cloud. Cloud, this is Locke, Locke, Cloud. Now that we're all friends, whose the lovely lady?" Cloud watched the woman intently. She was pretty, with oddly enough green hair, which was curled and had ornaments, full lips, red skirt and top with some type of shoulder guard, white stockings with designs, and red boots. Her most striking feature, was her eyes, which seemed sad. "She's Terra, she's being chased by the Empire..."

"Ahh, and our guest is from the empire, correct Cloud? Tell me, whats the emperor's name?" Cloud blinked. Well, when in doubt, bluff. "Emperor Rufus Shinra, right?"

Edgar and Locke both began to laugh, and Cloud knew he was busted. "Sorry for the cruel joke, but thats not the man's name. But I did see you getting chased by empire troops, so I don't think your an ally of them."

Cloud winced, this kingdom WAS suppose to be an ally. "Relax. Edgar isn't either. Its just a mask he puts on, he's really a returner."

"Thats correct. And Locke is my contact. So, maybe we get two new recruits in one day." Edgar divided his attention between Terra and Cloud. "You both seem to have a similiar aura. Excuse me Cloud, but where did you get your glowing eyes?"

That was one of the questions he didn't want to be asked. "I was suppose to be a clone of a great swordsman... unfortunatly I don't remember all the details."

Every time he tried, he got a sharp pain in his head. He could only remember Zack, and that didn't help him to much. "So thats it... Well, for the time being, why don't you stay here for a while. And you to Terra."

Terra looked up at Edgar, and finally spoke. "Why are you helping me? Is it because of my abilities?"

"Well, thats sorta true." Edgar put up three fingers. "One, I think your cute. Two, I'm dying to know if I'm your type. And a distant third would be your... abilities."

"Whats with you?" Terra asked, and Edgar sighed, admitting defeat at bieng shot down. "Anyway, I have important duties."

With that Edgar walked out of the room. "Yeah, me to. I'll be right back, Terra."

This left Cloud alone with Terra, and he could hear her words. "I suppose most women would find him gallent... but I'm not normal."

Well, it looks like Terra is just as confused as Cloud is. Well, maybe he could talk to the woman and figure out something about this world.
