The store phone rang a full three times before Hilda decided to pick it up. Groaning as her YouTube video was interrupted by her responsibilities once again.

"Hello welcome to Bargain Mart, this is Hilda speaking, how many I help you?"

"Hilda I'm sick, I'm not gonna be able to make it in today." Hilda sighed, she had had it with excuses from all the lazy bums she called employees.

"Danny I swear to God you will make it in today or your not going to have to come in ever again."

"Isn't that against policy? I don't think I'm supposed to come in if I'm ill right." Hilda's grip became white-knuckled as she tightened it on the phone.

"Listen here you little shit, I am the one who decides what is and what is not policy for you. Now you will get your ass in the store or you're fired understood?" Hilda heard a slight chuckle from Danny.

"Hilda your not going to do that, your going to let me call out today." As the words entered her mind she felt strange. Of course Danny was right here, she would let him do what he wanted, but something felt wrong, she couldn't quite remember why though, and now her head felt funny, like she suddenly was at a loss for thought.

"Yes Danny." Hilda could hear a laugh coming from the phone. She paid it no mind.

"In fact Hilda I don't think I'll be coming into work anymore, but even still your going to keep paying me understand? Your going to file it as vacation pay or something, I don't really care about the details but you will find a way to make it work so you can still keep paying me for as long as I need. Understood?" Hilda saw no reason to say no. Of course she would do this for Danny, she would do anything for Danny.

"Yes Danny, is there anything else I can do for you?"

"No that will be all for now, good job Hilda." Hilda almost giggled, it just felt so good to hear Danny say that she had done well.

"Thank you Danny, I'm here to serve." The call dropped abruptly and Hilda immediately got to work on filing the paperwork for Danny's vacation pay. After all, she couldn't let him down.
