Yes, time for introductions

Christian pulls down the driveway, perking up as he sees Mike's dark blue car already parked and the small group of people already waiting by the door.

"Yo, they beat us here" he informs Dani, who immediately straightens up and leans forward through both the front seats.

"No kidding. Hope they haven't been waiting long..." she murmurs, hoping they'd not been sitting around for ages, feeling like she'd be off to a bad start as a hostess if she'd made them wait for her.

Christian parks his car next to Mike's, Dani shaking Kate awake before they each get out of the car, Kate lagging behind as Mike walks up and gives Christian a familiar handshake.

"Alright mate? Took you guys long enough!" the Australian chuckled, both men coming in for a quick hug, Brianna walking up slowly behind and James lingering towards the back of the group as it clusters together.

"Sorry man, not been waiting long I hope?" Christian replies, ushering the three girls to come in and say hi with a gesture.

"Nahhh, probably around fifteen minutes?" Mike estimates, before looking off to Christian's side and spotting Amy. "Ahh, you must be the missus, lovely to meet you properly!" he smiles politely, reaching in for a handshake which Amy takes before pulling the bigger guy into a hug.

"Only good things I hope!" she replies playfully, with a teasing scowl towards her partner who just smiles and shakes his head.

Michael grins, a low chuckle escaping him as the hug breaks. "Only that you're the most gorgeous girl he's ever met of course." he assures her, a touch of a white lie as Christian had never said those exact words, but Christian never shut up about her and Mike was eager to make him look good all the same. A gesture that puts a grin on the faces of both lovebirds.

Brianna meets eyes with Danielle, the latter girl approaching for a friendly embrace. "Nice to meet you! Brianna right? Glad you three could make it"

The redheaded girl nods, "Thanks for having us along, I know it was just meant to be five of you originally"

"Please, the more the merrier" Dani waves the comment off, "Besides, we have room for eight, no sense leaving the beds empty"

Kate rubs some of the sleep from her eyes, before nodding over at the trio and giving a little wave. Amy introduces herself to Brianna, Danielle gets a few brief words of greeting from James, and Christian addresses both of Mike's other friends with a casual introduction.

"Right! I'll unlock the house, no doubt we all want to start moving our stuff in. I'll start unloading what's in our car" Danielle sets the plan, walking up to the front door and sliding the key in. With a twist and a push the house opens, Christian offering to bring in some of the stuff already by the door, and a few people running right in.

"Want a hand?" Mike offers the brunette, which earns a sly smile from her.

"Ooooh, Christan never told me you were a gentleman!" she said teasingly, putting a slide shade of red on the Australian's face as the two start walking towards Christian's car.

"Nothing of the sort, just trying to earn brownie points with the rich girl." he came back with a sarcastic quip, earning a broad grin from Dani.

She chuckles softly, opening up the trunk and giving him a sly look. "Well you're off to a good start. Here, help me with this big one"

Brianna and James stood side by side, marvelling at the interior of the lodge. Whatever impression that the place was rustic was shattered now that they'd seen the inside. Polished wooden floors, a kitchen hewn of marble, a living space and a widescreen TV that made James' inner nerd giggle in excitement.

"Pretty cool huh?" Amy said proudly, "I've been here once or twice with Dani's family. You should check out the hot tub on the deck. Cmon I'll show you!" she jumps into action quickly, snatching Brianna's wrist and pulling the girl towards the massive screen door at the back end of the room.

Christian just smirks, watching his girlfriend run off again. "So, James right? Looking forward to our little getaway?"

James fidgets awkwardly for a moment, before nodding. "Yeah... just a lot of new people is all."

"Don't worry about it, they can be really intense at times but they don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable." the athlete reassures him, "And any friend of Mike's is a friend of mine. Glad Dani agreed to have you and Brianna along."

"Thanks" James replied simply, wanting to withdraw to a quiet corner and go back on his phone, but holding out in the spirit of giving this all a proper attempt.

Kate walks into the lodge, dumping her backpack onto the ground with a light groan. "Damn, I knew Danielle's parents were bougie but this is a whole other level." she observes, scanning her eyes to the left towards the kitchen, and then to the right towards the massive leather couches and the TV.

"Well lucky us, we have it all to ourselves for the vacation... well, us and Nathan anyway." Christian adds, a slight look of distaste in his eyes before he shakes out of it.

"Fair. What's the bedroom situation looking like?" Kate follows up, looking down the hall to the right and spotting three doors, one of which seems to be for a bathroom.
