"Oh no, we're still going out!" she says, sounding appalled that you'd even make that suggestion. "Gimme like thirty minutes to get ready and then we can head out."

You suggest to her that you be the one to get changed first in your room, and then she can have it to herself and take as much time as she needs, to which she agrees. It takes you under five minutes to throw on a pair of pants, change shirts, and grab a different pair of shoes, and return to the TV room to let Lexi get ready. Her thirty minutes to get ready ends up being closer to an hour, but that gives you the chance to finish the second half of the show you were watching before you became so distracted. Fortunately, you are able to finish it, because when she finally does come back to the room, she's looking even sexier than before and you immediately start thinking about her in impure ways again.

She's liberally applied eye shadow to give that smoky look around them and skillfully donned makeup to allow her to easily pass as twenty-one. Though the drinks came out quickly, the kitchen wasn't exactly known for their speedy service and you're halfway finished with your beer and the place is starting to get a little busier by the time the food arrives. It's good though, and you finish your food off quickly, apparently more hungry than you thought you were, then order another round of drinks for you and Lexi when the waitress comes back to take away your plates. With your hunger now satiated, the two of you nurse the drinks a little slower as you converse with each other, taking the time to get a little more caught up on what you've both been up to over the past few years and to get to know the more mature versions of each other a little better. "Hey David. How's it going?" your friend, Austin, greets you as he nears the table. Austin is with Kurt, which isn't unusual as you usually find the two of them together. Both are good guys, but neither of them particularly memorable, though Austin is the more outgoing of the two. They're each a couple of inches under 6 feet tall, have short brown hair, are wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and have started to put on a few extra pounds that are visible around their waistlines. Austin doesn't wait for an answer from you, though, and turns his attention to your cousin. "Hi, I'm Austin, David's friend. How do you know this guy?" he asks, holding out his hand to shake Lexi's.

"Oh, it's nice to meet some of David's friends!" she says, shaking his hand with a big, welcoming smile on her face, then reaching over to shake Kurt's. "I'm Lexi, David's cousin. I'm going to be going to the same college as him in the fall and he was showing me around campus earlier today. Why don't you guys sit down with us." she says, moving to the seat next to you, to open up the two chairs closest to them.

The two of them do so and, you can see by the smile on Austin's face, that he's suddenly thinking he might have a shot with your cousin. Trying to hookup with one of your friend's cousins falls a little into that grey area, where some people figure as long as it's not a sister or mother, the person is fair game, while other people can stretch the "off limits" group to anyone you're related to. Apparently, Austin is in the first group because you can see him quickly trying out some of the same moves on your cousin that he uses when he tries to pick up other girls. You surprisingly feel a pang of jealousy in your stomach and you try to tell yourself that it's because you're being protective of her, but deep down, you know, it's because you enjoyed having all her attention on you and wanted to keep her all to yourself.

Lexi proved to be just as good a conversationalist with your friends as she did with you and had both guys laughing and offering to order the next round of drinks as well as a round of shots within minutes of them sitting down. You decided to decline, knowing you needed to be able to drive home later and asked for a water for yourself, but still raise your glass along with them when the round arrives. After the three of them knock back their shots, you're surprised to find Lexi rest her hand on your knee under the table, but she makes no indication that she's aware of this, concentrating on Austin and Kurt as she continues her conversation with them. As the night progresses, you can start to see the effects that the **** is having on her, as her eyes are getting a little glossy and she's giggling a little more than she had before, and you think it might be a good idea to leave before she reaches the point of no return.

Leaning in towards her you bring your mouth closer to her ear so that only she can hear you. "I don't want to be that overprotective cousin, but I know you wanted to leave a little on the earlier side tomorrow and it's probably not great if I send you home to Aunt Heather with you stinking of **** and with a pounding hangover." you say to her, suggesting that she not drink anymore and should probably consider leaving soon.

To your surprise, Lexi agrees without an argument and let's Austin and Kurt know of the plan. She then excuses herself to find the waitress so she can close up the tab, leaving you with your friends at the table.

"You know, I could bring your cousin home if you needed to leave." Austin says to you, smiling while trying to make it sound like he's being helpful.

"No chance Austin." you reply. "I know exactly what you're thinking and my cousin is off limits. I was ok with letting you have your fun flirting with her, but there's no way it going beyond that." you tell him, making it clear what you thought about him hooking up with your family member.

Lexi returns a short time later saying that she paid the bill and hugs your two friends goodbye before you and her make your exit. During the short ride home, Lexi's toned legs keep drawing your eyes to them as you see her dress has ridden up her thighs and you have to tell yourself to focus on the road. Fortunately, the two of you make it back to your place safely and you're back inside a moment later.
