“Yes, obviously.” Lenny sighed. “It’s her life, she should learn about what’s happened to her. And to her memories.”

Erica nodded. “Okay, good point. Right now though, I think she’ll just turn us away while she, uh… schlicks.”

“Right, forgot about that.” Leonard thought, before saying “Then we’ll wait until tonight. Let her get it out of her system.” as he sat down on the couch next to her. “For now though, I think we should work out what to do about this.” he continued, switching to his Fate/Grand Order app.

Erica raised an eyebrow. “About what? Wait, do you want to summon another Servant?”

“I just wanted to show how I have 8 billion QP ready. 2 billion of it let me summon you from across town, so clearly I can do some crazy stuff with it.” he explained, pointing at the imposing collection of digits.

Erica nodded in recognition. “Oh, I getcha.”

“Right. Though, do you really think it’s a bad idea to summon anything like another Servant?” He switched off his phone screen. “I know we don’t exactly have infinite space, but if I get something like a Caster we might be able to do some useful stuff. Like, the Pots can make most anything, but if we have to go back to my parents I’m going to feel myself die a little each time…” Leonard shuddered.

Erica asked “I was wondering why you never talked about them… did something happen?”

He sighed “It’s just embarrassing. I wanted to be able to make it on my own, I promised them I’d be fine by myself. I don’t wanna have to keep going back to their place when I need anything, even if they don’t know why I’m doing it. They have enough to worry about.” His father’s pension funds were currently the main factor in his parents’ mortgage repayment. They should be able to cover it, but not with Leonard’s expenses in the mix.

“Right, okay. So… do you think we should just keep coming into work? Our collective bills should be lower now that we live together.”

“Actually, I think we should quit as soon as we can afford to. Yesterday Ms. Prift called me into her office to ask about why you were smiling more, she seems like bad news. Talked about how she has cameras in the store.”

“Yikes, okay then. Well… if we need a reliable way to make money without going to your parents to make stuff with Pots, then… I mean I was already gonna do an OnlyFans when you summoned me.”

“That was cause you were ****, I don’t think you wanted to pose for strangers on the internet.”he said, decisively. Until he asked “Or, wait, do you?” after realizing he never talked with her on the subject.

“… I think I might if I was still all ‘Berserker-ey’, but right now I’d be too embarrassed…” Erica muttered. “Point made, then. But do you wanna keep it to just the FGO Summons, if you even wanna chance a second Summon?”

“What do you mean?” Lenny asked, leaning forward in interest.

“Well, Servants have certain risks. You remember what I was like without your Mana. I’m pretty sure you only survived the night cause I made you set up the Cauldrons and recover your energy enough to satisfy me. And you already used them today to try and help my mind get temporarily unfucked from the whole ‘being a Berserker Class’ thing.”

Leonard’s eyes narrowed. “Wait, can I not use them more than once a day? They’re just sitting on the stove.”

Erica cleared her throat with a cough, before saying “I’m guessing no. The Cauldrons get a Counter ‘once a turn’, and can either heal or hurt based on how many Counters they have ‘once a turn’. They’re definitely more concentrated potions than last night, so I think a ‘turn’ is equal to a day, or at least linked to whenever the date shifts.”

“Good theory, that sounds right enough. Though Berserkers tend to be pretty expensive to maintain in terms of Mana… Maybe a different Class wouldn’t be too tough on me until I can recharge with the Cauldrons tomorrow?”

“I wouldn’t want to risk it, but you’d probably know your limits better than me. Do you think you’d withstand another night like last night, if it was the worst case scenario?”

“… point taken. Guess we’ll wait till tomorrow for me to try a second Summon. What do you wanna do while we wait for Jenny to stop masturbating to a game character?”

“Well… I can think of a couple ways.”

Erica cried out “Yes, yes, yes!”

Lenny choked “Oh my god… this can’t be real…! You can’t be serious, really…!”

“Read em’ and weep, Exodia: OBLITERATE!” she called out, as the graphic of the pharaoh-like monster appeared on both of their Nintendo Switch screens, Leonard’s showing “DEFEAT” and hers showing “VICTORY” after the animation finished.

“But you just spent like three whole minutes playing dumb bamboo swords and libraries…? How’d that make Exodia?” he asked, baffled.

His roommate smirked “Drawn cards are drawn cards, padawan. If you ran Ash Blossom, some of that would’ve been impossible. Or Infib, that’d stop the Magical Library’s counters.”

“What’s ‘Infib’?”

“Infinite Impermanence? Trap card that negates monster effects?”

“… where’d the ‘b’ come from?”

“You know, I’m not sure. Less of a mouthful though.”

He sighed “Fair enough.” before checking his phone’s clock. It was now 3:00 pm. “Think she’s done by now?”

“For her sake I hope so, it can’t be healthy to schlick for that long.” Erica noted as she put on her shoes.

The pair finished getting themselves ready, and returned to their neighbor’s door. After a knock, they found that the door was unlocked.
